We had a sunny, busy, hot, fun-filled day!

We had a lot of tournaments - both home and away.  The rising 4th graders (B4) played a baseball tournament at Taconic, the rising 6th graders (B6) played basketball at Greylock, the rising 9th graders (B9) played roller hockey at Taconic and the rising 8th graders (B8) played soccer at Winadu.

Additionally, we hosted "Play Days" for our rising 6th & 7th graders. During these games/sessions, other camps come to visit and we host "friendly" games - more like scrimmages - of various sports. Today, we did flag football and basketball. There are no trophies or scorecards, so it's a great chance for the kids to work on their sports simply for the sake of clean competition and fun.

By the time afternoon rolled around, the temperatures had risen and our kids were wiped out (and hot)! So, we had "hot day activities" - kids can choose to play in the pool or lake in whatever way they want. Tubing, Kayaking, SUP'ing (stand up paddle board), swimming, and more.

When the sun went down, the games once again began - this time with a big Founder's Cup event. The four teams were divided by age group, and each grouping played both 4-way soccer and 4-way ultimate frisbee. So, every match had five players, four teams, four goals, and a partridge in a pear tree.

There was a lot of action happening all at once, which made it all the more fun! We'll report back with scores tomorrow....

  • Breakfast: Eggs, pastries.

  • Lunch: Pizza.

  • Dinner: Chicken & Pasta.
