  • Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, hash browns.

  • Lunch: Philly cheesesteaks (a camp favorite).

  • Dinner: Chicken Parm/Eggplant Parm.

We had a gorgeous Berkshires day here at MKN! The sun was shining, The Bowl was sparkling (that's what we call our lake), the kids were playing, the boats were sailing, and the birds were chirping.

We also started the first of our tournaments, which our kids always love. Campers pick whatever sports they want to try, and anyone who wants to participate makes the team (we're more about the playing & trying new things than the hard-core winning around here). Not to say these guys don't bring their A-game - they definitely want to win!

The 8th-10th grade tennis players took their talents to Camp Pontiac, while the 9th graders headed to Winadu for baseball.  The 10th graders went to Greylock for soccer, and the Intensive Golf team played nine holes at Wyndhurst Golf Club. Then, they had a few G&Ts and closed a some deals. J/k.

Evening activity was super exciting, as it was the official "sorting" for Green & White. G&W is our annual "Color War" and takes place at the end of Session One. As soon as a camper is placed on a team, they're on that time for life. All of the new campers gathered together and came forward one at a time. They pick from a 'sorting hat' a la Harry Potter, and were given their team color. The corresponding team then cheered and welcomed them to this lifelong club! The Senecas - celebrating their were last year of Green & White participation, were especially pumped to welcome their new members, as this is their (see pics).
